This has been a very sad week. We said goodbye to our very dear friend Annie. But lucky for me I have had the privilege of caring for and living with her for the past few months. We have cried a lot, but we also laughed lot. So I wanted to share a humorous moment with you. One evening I was sitting at Annie's texting her, while she was in hospital. Me: I'm sitting her watching crap telly and there are clumps of your hair all over the floor. Annie: Babe I've left them there for you to weave me another wig in your spare time. Me: Ah okay I knew there must be a reason, I will get right on to it. I'm a dab hand with weaving. A few minutes later I managed to persuade my little black miniature Schnauzer Lotte up on to Annie's bed (she had taken to sleeping under it when Annie wasn't there, waiting for her to come back) and put Annie's beautiful Trevor Sorbie wig on her. She patiently sat there while I snapped away (to get the right look) and then I sent the pic to Annie by text saying "finished ....what do you think?" She text me back a big smiley face with the words "you know I can't fxxxxxx breath properly and you've made me laugh so much I've had to get out of bed and stand up and ask the nurse for more oxygen!". Darling Annie I would give you all my breath to have you back here with us. Thank you for your friendship, advice, love and support and for asking me to be with you. It was truly an honour.
